Important Information Conerning COVID19

To be eligible to participate in CAEX activities, members and visitors must be fully vaccinated in accordance with Victorian Government public health requirements.

CAEX generally organises two walks per calendar month and these are typically on a Sunday.  Most walks are easy to medium day walks of around 10kms or less.  Weekends away are also a regular feature and can involve either camping or accommodation in a caravan park, or shared accommodation, with day walks organised on each day. We also do occasional extended trips interstate and overseas.  The calendar is regularly updated as walks are added to the program. Click or tap the activity in the calendar for more information on the walk.

Prospective members are welcome to attend most walks and activities (not extended or overseas trips) as temporary members for the duration of the walk or activity that they register for. Prior to commencing the walk or activity temporary members are required to sign an Acknowledgement of Risk form acknowledging the risks and obligations of participating. More information is provided on the Join Us page.

During summer months, walks in forest areas are automatically cancelled on total fire ban days or if a Code Red fire danger warning has been issued for the area in which the activity is being held.  Walks in all areas may be cancelled when the forecast temperature is 32 degrees or higher.
